Shaped by Many Places

For the past fifteen years, life has taken me across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Along the way, I've taught art, painted murals, learned from countless communities, and collected stories that continue to influence my work. Those experiences have reinforced something I have always believed: art is at its most powerful when it brings people together. That belief is at the heart of every mural, installation, and workshop I create.

The Story of Syrenka

My childhood was filled with outdoor adventures, animals, and an imagination shaped by nature and storytelling. Plants and critters, both tame and wild, continue to hold symbolic meaning in my work, while the flora and fauna of the many places I have called home influence my imagery and evolving visual language.

As a little girl, I was always drawn to mermaids. When I later moved to Warsaw, Poland, I had no idea that a mermaid was the city's emblem. Learning the story of Syrenka, Warsaw's strong, sword-bearing protector, felt strangely fated. Her blend of mythology, resilience, and symbolism resonated deeply with me, and Studio Syrenka was born from that connection.

Today, Studio Syrenka reflects both my love of storytelling and my belief in the power of shared creative experiences. Though I stepped away from full-time teaching in 2025, I continue to work as a traveling artist and visiting (licensed) educator, partnering with schools and communities to create meaningful art together.

Every project starts with a story.

Whether you're looking to transform a space, celebrate a community, or create something entirely unique, let's start the conversation.
